“Shaw is the only American athlete to win World’s Strongest Man (WSM) and America’s Strongest Man (ASM) and as well as the only American athlete to have won the Arnold Strongman, WSM and ASM,” said Wessels.
“Shaw won in stellar fashion winning four out of eight events. Mike Burke won the Wheelbarrow Medley, but had to retire from the competition due to an injury to his finger. Mike Caruso, Dimitar Savatinov and Robert Oberst tied for the win in the "last man standing" Log Press with 430-lb. Nick Best won the 950-lb. Yoke Walk and the 330-lb. Farmer’s Carry.
“Not only did Shaw win the title of ASM but he also showed true sportsmanship and love for the sport,” said Wessels.
