Stefan Botev just resumed training and is planning to compete at the Australian National Weightlifting Championships in August. Botev, a bronze medalist at the 1996 Olympics, is still cautious as far as his shoulder goes, and said that he will have to see how things progress before knowing whether he can return to top competitive form. Botev said he will aim only for moderate lifts in Australia, but if things are continuing to go well at that point, he will then turn his attention to preparing for this year's World Weightlifting Championships.
