IFSA Chinese Grand Prix

The events and competitors for the IFSA Chinese Grand Prix were announced today and by all expectations, it will be a world class contest.

Scheduled for October 18 - 21 the contest will feature some of the very top names on the international strongman circuit: Mariusz Pudzianowski, Svend Karlsen, Zydrunas Savickas, Magnus Samuelsson, Rene Minkwitz, Martin Muhr, Juha Rasanen, Jarno Hams, Derek Boyer and Jouko Ahola.

The events will include a harness and rope pull with a live elephant in a truck, as well as a yoke race, Conan's circle, Viking press, medley, deadlift for maximum weight, squat for reps, weight for height, and Hercules hold.

The event is expected to exceed last year's competition, which had over 100,000 spectators, and is being run by IFSA in conjunction with the Chinese government and the city of Panyu.
