WSM Finals: More From Day 3...

Today's events for the 1999 "World's Strongest Man" TV show were the Atlas stones and an airplane pull. The Atlas stones were won by Fekete, with Ahola in second place, Virtanen in third place, and Samuelsson in fourth place. The Atlas stones featured a new addition, a massive 163-kg stone, which was lifted by the top four finishers. The day's second event involved pulling a Boeing 737-300, which, at over 70 tons, might be the most massive object ever moved in a WSM contest. The airplane pull was won by Virtanen, with Ahola second, and Girard third.
