Kicking off his 2020 armlifting season, grip contest organizer Vitaliy Pulin has contests scheduled for March 7 and March 21 in Melitopol, Ukraine.

Both contests feature the core events of Rolling Thunder, Apollon’s Axle, CoC (Captains of Crush) Silver Bullet Hold, along with the IronMind Hub, Block and Little Big Horn, and given history, keep you eye open for potential world record performances.

Besides promoting a steady series of armlifting competitions, Pulin has developed “a system of qualification of judges [referees] and their estimation of skill directly depends on tournaments on which they judged [refereed]. In addition, each judge [referee] has a special judge's [referee's] book in which he notes his activities as a judge [referee].” Judges [referees] are tested on their technical knowledge of the rules and advance from regional tournaments upwards as their experience and skill warrant.
